What about the legacy & history of both clubs
The Joint Venture preserves the legacy and history of both clubs and ensures that they both remain in tact. Both clubs will continue to exist in their own right within the structure of the JV. The colours, crests and history of both clubs will remain at Ashfield Reserve & Hossack Reserve.

Ashwood FC NAme?
This is just a Project Name and name given to the formation of the JV. We wanted something quick and catchy that gets people talking about the JV. We had several choices. Ultimately we agreed on Ashwood FC. The Lynwood United & Ashfield Sports Club Joint Venture is a bit of a mouthful.
Later on it is planned that Ashwood FC (or its new branding & logo) will have teams in the 13’s, 14’s 15’s, 16’s, 18’s 20’s & First Team for both boys - Men and girls to Women. Creating a clear elite pathway for the Community Participants at JV clubs.
Why are Lynwood and AShfield partnering at all? Not exactly close
They are closer than you think. As the crow fly’s there is 12km between Lynwood & Ashfield and the roads between the two clubs are mostly high quality grade separated freeways. The drive can take as little as 12 minutes on a good day or 20-25 mins at peak times.
Where the clubs are far more closely aligned is in their philosophies on development of players and collaborating together on creating the Ashwood FC brand.
what about Logos?
Unless the clubs decide to change them. The founding clubs logos will remain as they are.
Later on the Ashwood FC brand may create new branding and a logo to cover its elite stream teams.
Why do this at all?
It is no secret that club loyalty and club engagement has steadily declined over the last decade. Part of this is clubs and private academies promising the world holding trials to capture the best playing talent from across Perth. Only to refresh this each year to remain competitive and provide promises to a new generation, while the old moves on to greener pastures or worse yet away from the game all together
We want to break that system and make no apologies for that. To do that we need to collaborate with like minded clubs that believe in Community, development & sustainability and use those pillars to help create strong ties to our members and brand.
So other clubs can be involved
Short answer is yes!
However there is a big but. JV Clubs must share the same vision and add to or compliment the current Founding Clubs.
How do I find out more.
